CSA LABELS:

Required by CSA for certified electronic equipment. The labels MUST be printed by a CSA certified printer. These label processes have been tested by CSA themselves to ensure that they stand up to the conditions under which the labels will be used. We are certified to print two varieties, both of which are suitable for outdoor and indoor applications.

Overlays

Overlays are used primarily in industrial and electronic applications, and are warranted when the information on the label is to be protected from everyday wear and tear as the product is used. This may be fingers pushing keys to operate the product, or a more decorative overlay that identifies a company and a specific product line and thus subject only to very minor housekeeping.

Polycarbonates
come in a variety of thicknesses and finishes.  This material comes with options such as hardcoats, which increase the durability of the product, as well as varying levels of gloss, from matte to gloss finishes of varying percentages. Some polycarbonates are now weatherable.

Polyester is extremely durable in situations where the labels may be subject to chemicals. It is also very tough, allowing for a thinner overlay where a thicker polycarbonate would have to be used. It is also optically clearer than most polycarbonates. As with polycarbonates, it is available in a wide range of thicknesses and finishes, as well as hardcoats to increase durability.

Other options for the construction of overlays include spaces for LED lights and Displays, selective textures on the surface and simple embossing on small overlays.

A wide variety of 3M adhesives are stocked, from 467 MP, which is a multipurpose adhesive suitable to a wide range of applications, to 300 LSE which is more suitable for labels adhering to low surface energy plastics.

Decals:

There are many varieties of decals, along with a wide array of materials which will best suit your application. We encourage testing of all products before production!     Vinyl is the most common decal material, as the ink and the material both are water resistant and UV resistant. Customers may also choose a vinyl with a Hi-Tack adhesive which allows the decals to be applied in cooler conditions and to stick to more difficult substrates such as PVC’s and plastics. Block out vinyl is also available. Common examples of uses for vinyl labels are warning labels, instruction labels, and product branding.

Polyester is not suited to outdoor applications as it yellows and gets brittle. However, it offers a wide range of more decorative finishes such as chrome and brushed chrome. It is also well suited to areas subject to high temperatures as it won’t melt the same way vinyl will.

Cling or low tack Vinyl is used for window decals as it can be printed in reverse on the front of the clear vinyl so that the image can be read from outside a window or door. These usually require a full white print over the image to allow the decal to be seen clearly through the window. Double sided window decals are also available so that the image can be read from both sides of the window.

Banners:

Vinyl
Most of the banners we produce are vinyl banners. Stock sizes of banner include 24”, 30”, 36” and 48”. These are all available on rolls. The graphics are vinyl cut, digital or screenprinted depending on quantity. We can also do custom sized banners as required.

Sunbrella
This is a special order item, which is only offered with screenprinted graphics. Sunbrella is a UV resistant canvas fabric commonly used in awnings. Because of the manufacturing cost and the cost of the fabric, these banners are best ordered in quantities of 15 and up. Please allow for 4-6 week delivery.
